Stitches
Yet again a very busy day at the Vet's. It seemed that the whole area population came to see us at once. Well, it was very good for the business- and certainly time went pretty fast. I just hope I didn't make too many mistakes along the way, when I tried to do few things at the same time. Multitasking is the name of the game where I work. Such as mopping the floor with one hand, writing invoices with another, talking to the phone with a pet's owner while simultaneously using spare limbs to give sign language messages to the customers waiting at the reception. Between the Vet's consultation times we had our regular routine operations- took some blood samples from cats, clipped and removed nails from couple of dogs, took X-rays and did one dog dental. We also operated on a cat, who had big, multiple tumors in her neck. I honestly thought that we wouldn't have enough skin in the poor cat's back to stitch her up, but luckily the Vet managed to patch her together. I thought I might have to slip some sedatives to our Vet's coffee at one point, when we got customers coming from left, right and center asking for "very urgent" consultations outside the official times, but he just shrugged his shoulders and accepted his faith. I hope he didn't notice that my own coffee was laced with Valium... :-)
