Resurrection

This week at the Vets I had more than fair share of excitement. We had a busy day as usual and I was signing the clients in and out. I took two dogs and a cat to the back room waiting for the operations. Meanwhile our Vet was busy seeing the morning clients in his consultation room. I walked past the back room and stopped to my tracks; one of the dogs, a little terrier, was lying down looking unconscious. Or worse. When I went closer, I noticed that the dogs legs were twitching a bit. I took few deep breaths and tried to calm myself down- checking the vital functions. The dog was breathing but he did not look very well at all. I rushed to the consultation room and tried to say as calmly as possible to the vet that he'd better come around as I think the dog is having fits of has suddenly paralyzed. The Vet looked at me and asked if it had possibly anything to do with the sedation that he'd given to the dog earlier. Right. I didn't know about the sedation, but it very well explained the dog's condition. Thankfully the dog was ok, just sleeping!
