Plodding away
I had an exceptionally quiet day at work today. When I got in, all the cages were empty, meaning that there were no admissions during the weekend. And usually we get so many clients visiting on Mondays that the last to arrive need Vaseline and crowbar to fit in to the reception. But not today. It's not to say that I didn't keep myself busy- there are always things to do at the surgery. When I wasn't cleaning the cages, feeding the animals, answering the phones and doing the accounts, I used the spare time for tidying up and general cleaning. Good thing was that I had plenty of time to concentrate in proper spelling of people's (and their pets') names; As a foreigner I'm linguistically challenged, so all the spare moments are put into good educational use. It was nice that I had some time to give extra cuddles to our inpatients today. I also enjoyed luxury of having two whole cups of coffee and leafing trough the Veterinary Times.
